Book Of Condolences

endaAn Taoiseach Enda Kenny T.D. signing the book of Condolences for  the victims of the Paris attacks at the Castlebar Chamber of Commerce office this morning.

Castlebar Chamber of Commerce will open a book of condolences on Monday January 12th at 10am in memory of the people who lost their lives in Paris, France, over the last 3 days.

Castlebar, and all of Mayo, has a strong link with France dating back to 1798, when General Humbert arrived in Kilcummin to help the Irish in their struggle at that time. We now show solidarity with the people of France in their dark hours.

Because of Humbert’s connection with the Town Hall (Linenhall), we feel this is an appropriate place to have the book available.

We encourage all to come. The Chamber office will be open from 10am to 2pm daily.
