National Tree Week, organised by the Tree Council of Ireland since 1985 is a week long programme of events to celebrate trees.
To celebrate the 2015 event, in association with Castlebar Tidy Towns, there will be a community tree planting ceremony on Monday, March 2nd at 11am at Lough Lannagh. Everyone is invited to attend and be a part of the planting of 300 trees alongside An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD. We want as many community groups, schools organisations etc to take part. Lough Lannagh is a beautiful picturesque centrepiece in the town and this is an opportunity to be a part of this wonderful facility of the town for years to come.
Please meet March 2nd at 11am at Lough Lannagh Holiday Village entrance from lake.
Go raibh maith agat!!
