Féile na Tuaithe 2015
Féile na Tuaithe – Turlough Park returns on Saturday 23rd May and Sunday 24th May, 2015, from 12pm to 5pm.
Féile na Tuaithe is a FREE two day family festival that celebrates all that’s good about country life and traditions of bygones days.
The family fun begins immediately at the Entrance to Féile and continues on every part of the Museum grounds and into the Museum Galleries. Visitors to Féile na Tuaithe can find food and craft retail and demonstrators, family entertainment, music and dance, animal attractions and Museum exhibitions.
Planning is well underway now for Féile na Tuaithe 2015. As well as retaining the key elements of previous Féile na Tuaithe programmes (eg. craft demonstrations, animals, musical entertainment, children’s events, family workshops), the 2015 focus will be on showcasing quality artisan craft and food producers working in the Western Region including:
• Chef demonstration tent with guest chefs DOMINI KEMP and CATHERINE FULVIO
• Performances by THE CELTIC TENORS and THE CLEW BAY PIPE BAND
• Demonstrations by internationally renowned craftspeople
In 2014 the organisers focused on providing spaces for craft and food producers primarily from the Mayo region. The event proved such a success that the food and craft areas will be expanded in 2015, with additional spaces available for quality and skilled artisan craft and food producers from all counties in the Western Region.
